On the 20th of July 2020, we rolled out the second official project under Mizizi foundation. The project was aimed to feed 100 or more families that are single-parented, with mothers as the remaining parent figures. We started off by feeding 20 clergy widows, who essentially are widows to pastors. We then proceeded to feed 80 more widow-led families within Pokot area in Kenya. In the next phase we aim at feeding 200 widows.
We managed to feed 100 families. Supplied 100 face mask to the needy families. Supplied sanitizers and soaps as part of COVID-19 prevention.
The provision of foodstuffs, soaps and face masks brought joy to the targeted population. The initiative instilled hope to the families which assured them that their plights is likely to be resolved. The facemasks and soaps also enhanced the community’s effort in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
